Through the state budget, we identify, prioritize, and invest in the public. Montana’s state budget represents our collective investment in the public institutions and services that educate our children, keep our communities safe, and provide health care and other services across the state. MBPC’s goal is to make state budget issues - and the budget process - accessible and easier to understand. We support community engagement in discussions that determine budget decisions, as we believe these support the state in developing policies that work for all Montanans. A healthy state budget relies on a fair tax structure so that we can make investments that create stability and opportunities for everyone, now and into the future.
